Job Summary

Manages Development team for CenturyLink Field Services. This position plays a leadership role to drive development and stability of applications and services needed for over 11,000 Local and National CenturyLink Field Technicians to preform critical duties and tasks to support our end customers.

Job Description

  • Member of Agile Scrum team, participate in planning, demo and retrospective sessions.

  • Manage development activities including strategic and tactical development activities to deliver the best in class experience.

  • Manage key architecture components that are reusable, scalable, and extensible for future changes/enhancements.

  • Mentor others on the team by instructing them), reviewing their designs and code, and overseeing integration and deployment of applications and services they develop.

  • Create development environment for efficient testing and integration

  • Ensure that the quality of our products and the response times are industry leading and meet the highest quality standards through benchmarking assessments.

  • Ensure applications and services meet SLAs for uptime and performance as well as support Outage and release management processes

  • Provides input to 30/60/90 day roadmaps as part of the continuous dev/ops model as well as drives creation of 12-24 month technology roadmap.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of management experience of large enterprise products or solutions preferably in Telecom.

  • 10+ years full lifecycle software development experience.

  • 5+ years design and development experience in Java (Core Java, Spring, Web Services), JavaScript, Node.js, PM2, JSON and MongoDB, CouchBase.

  • 3+ years of experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android)

  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure from Amazon, Azure, CLC.

  • Experience with Junit, SonarQube, Kafka, Grunt, Jasmine

  • Experience with source control packages such as Git.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to produce high quality, maintainable software.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and analytical skills

  • People Manger of 12-15 developers both onshore and offshore

Preferred

  • Experience in Agile software development practices using tools such as CA Agile Central

  • Experience with Advanced SQL/database programming in one or more of the following
