The Sr. Database Administrator will be part of the Contact Center Federal Operations Group (CCFOG), which is responsible for all the aspects of database administration on the FEDRAMP production environment. The responsibilities include maintenance and tuning of database infrastructure and customer environments as part of a managed CenturyLink solution. Daily responsibilities include providing top level escalation support for Contact Center Federal Operations Engineers as well as customers that reside in the FEDRAMP production environment. He or she will also be responsible for installing and implementing High availability database environments, trouble ticket handling and troubleshooting of highly critical production environment with 99.999% uptime. He or she will also be involved in database performance tuning, implementing backup solutions and capacity planning. This person will work closely with application, systems operations and engineering teams. The Administrator will be working mainly majority with Postgres and Microsoft SQL databases on Linux /Windows in an AWS environment.
Maintain 99.999% availability for all Contact Center Database products and infrastructure
Interface with other CCFOG engineers as well as technology management organizations to improve and implement process, procedures and automation.
Pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
Provide 24x7 escalation support for Postgres and MS SQL environments and for assigned account(s).
Participating in an on-call rotation schedule.
US Citizen required
Ability to obtain a government trust suitability clearance
Documenting the support procedure, change requests
Strong listening and communication skills.
Understand company policies and procedures
Work closely with other teams within company and with customer.
Quick learner and Self-starter - can quickly learn different features/technologies that customer need in their environment without much supervision.
Bachelors or Equivalent in Computer Science
