Partner in a team environment to design, develop, code, test and debug new software or significant enhancements to existing software of moderate complexity. Develop solutions across many disciplines and be responsible for explaining solutions and procedures. Apply principles, theories and concepts and use methodologies, tools, documentation processes and test procedures to complete projects related to moderately complex software.
The Software Developer II will work within the SDN/NFV Engineering and Test/Certification team in developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) based automation and Chaos Engineering solutions for cloud-native based adaptive virtual services (AVS) solution. Develop machine learning modules and resource adapters to support automation framework for the end-to-end SDN/NFV engineering, test and certification platform. Participate in daily-stand up meetings on related projects. Develop solutions based on Go, Python, C, C++ and Java. In addition, partner with peers in developing scalable hadoop clusters, database models, monitoring and analytics systems for the chaos engineering project. Primary Job Duties
Develop AI/ML based Chaos Engineering platform, Automate, Prototype, Architect, Engineer, Test/integrate/validate and certify orchestration services in an Agile/DevOps paradigm from Build/Development, QA/UAT, Preproduction and Production environments in a continuous development, testing, integration and delivery (Continuous Integration/Continuous Development-CICD).
Partner with peers in developing low-latency edge AI/ML solutions based on specialized GPUs running on a Bare metal, Virtualized and Containerized platforms.
Automate and orchestrate data center framework projects for virtualized and cloud computing core infrastructure and platform including OpenStack and Kubernetes.
Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Trello, TestRail and Ansible for software development, repository, documenation, ticketing, automation and collaboration
Produce Low-Level Design (LLD) Documents, Test Plans, Executive Presentations of Architectures, Test Results and Designs for Adaptive VIrtual Services (AVS)
Other common tasks include the following:
Perform Unix systems administration duties for internal development environments and be intimately familiar with FreeBSD, Linux and MacOS Operating Systems
Develops reports and queries from multiple databases, logs and other sources to assist analytics and dashboard views
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain applications software
Adapt to new technologies, particularly those providing reporting capabilities
Participate in code reviews, walk through of designs and programs providing appropriate feedback to ensure the technical quality of an application and provide solutions to design and program issues
Develop understanding of business processes, products, and metrics to better communicate and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Must adhere to all development processes (CMMI Level 3 or otherwise deemed best practices) to ensure appropriate flow of work with onsite, remote, off-shore, and contract resources
Provide on-call DevOps support for your developed AI/ML software solutions
Typically 5+ years professional experience or Master's Degree with 3+ years overall experience
