Job Summary

  • Manages complex IT Software vendor agreements and relationships.

  • Delivers against corporate initiatives related to cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier rationalization and continually benchmarks purchasing and process practices to effectively translate the analysis into action.

  • Provides subject matter expertise and is a trusted advisor in regards to vendor management, sourcing, procurement.

Job Description

  • Negotiates / re-negotiates new and existing agreements or statements of work, including RFI’s and RFP’s.

  • Engages with stakeholders to gather contract requirements, RFI/RFP, contract execution and contract lifecycle management.

  • Provides sourcing guidance and continually refines the program to deliver optimal results.

  • Prepares scope documents, communication plans, and contract awards.

  • Actively partners with legal teams and business unit stakeholders to develop and execute negotiation strategies that include optimal targets for pricing, service, and quality.

  • Continually identifies and implements new opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance and proactively tracks these objectives.

  • Implements and measures cost savings, reduction and avoidance programs and strategies. Continually refines these programs to deliver optimal results for the company.

  • Responsible for vendor / supplier management. Conducts supplier rationalization and segmentation initiatives. Proactively reviews supplier performance and adherence to contractual terms. Leads business reviews and delivers resolution on difficult issues through effective negotiation tactics.


  • Manages and leads sourcing efforts for large volume and high-risk software initiatives.

  • Possess 7+ years of relevant procurement experience or other relevant contract management / negotiation experience, preferably in IT.

  • Manage the development and execution of sourcing projects and initiatives ensuring alignment with the overall priorities.

  • Process management and documentation skills.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive and close multiple complex, high risk sourcing initiatives.

  • Solid computer application knowledge (Microsoft Office)


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with business concentration / major or minor

Other Job Requirements

  • MBA preferred

  • Knowledge of maintenance, repair, operations, support associated with technology platforms preferred.

  • Proven ability to communicate, influence and build partnerships with stakeholders at all levels within the IT organization.

  • Experience with RFP/ RFx process preferred

  • Telecom or Technology/IT experience preferred

  • CPM / CSPM Certification is a plus

  • Must be well organized, adaptable, and a natural self-starter with a willingness to learn and embrace new methodologies, while possessing excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.

  • Team player with ability to work well with peers

  • Process management and documentation skills

  • Strategic thinker

  • Position may be located in Littleton, Denver, or Broomfield, Colorado. No relocation assistance is available
