The individual will develop, execute, and manage various network management tool suites
Troubleshoot and isolate network management faults including SNMP or IP connectivity issues
Knowledge in Linux/Unix and Windows server builds to include Server and Database Administration
Responsible for maintenance of the various system hardware and software on multiple different platforms
Applicant will be required to monitor systems and ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support availability
Assist project development and new initiatives as a technical resource using network management tools as well as performing duties as documenting requirements, mapping and program logic, designing solutions, testing and implementation
Understand and interpret customer requirement and develop solutions to meet requirements
Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, program logic and flowcharts
Responsible for performing moderately complex network designs; performing upgrades to limited segments of the network, and performing routine network operations and maintenance
Active TS/SCI with Poly Required
BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive, relevant experience, or and MS degree in a computer or system science discipline and seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a computer or system science discipline and two (2) to five (5) years or progressive experience.
UNIX/LINUX System Administrative experience
Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, as well as be on-call in a duty rotation.
Software/application management (installing, testing, and updating Operating Systems (OS) and software on systems and servers).
Account management (adding and removing accounts, managing user access and privileges)
Server management (running backups, monitoring and tuning performance, rebooting, setting up cron jobs, looking after the hardware and reviewing log files).
Security management (managing host-based firewalls, checking file permissions, and checking on important security configurations).
User management – Must have outstanding people skills
Certified Linux Administrator
Experience with HP NNMI, and BBNA
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Oracle Solaris System Administrator (OCA)
Oracle Solaris System Administrator (OCP)
Network Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE
Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIT, JNCIE
Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
