The Regional Alliance Manager II manages the development and sales execution (sell-with and sell-through) between CenturyLink sales and regional offices of Alliance partners. The RAM II leads the effort to increase growth of new business across all sales groups, by activating our salesforce of the Alliance to drive opportunities to CTL. This role is the main interface between CTL sales teams and the regional offices of our Alliances.
Develop the local partner strategy in conjunction with stakeholders to ensure that strategy is executed effectively while serving as the partner’s main point of contact
Meet or exceed annual fiscal plan and execute tactics on a quarterly basis to achieve that plan
Engage customers and the sales force to identify critical business drivers / problems and develop appropriate joint solutions
Establish key metrics (sales & marketing) for success including sales & revenue growth, margin profile (cost of sale & service), and CTL brand preference.
Daily operations management that includes presenting solutions & programs to partners, jointly developing margin-rich solutions proposals, negotiating co-sell agreements, and sales execution
Encourage lead generation and lead sharing between CTL and the local partner, assisting with the qualification of the leads.
Drive field sales engagement between CTL’s direct sales force and the local partner’s sales force for qualified leads and opportunities.
Develop new relationships with local partners
Assist marketing with sales enablement efforts (CTL and local partner sales force training, field marketing activities and events, etc)
Manage the governance process to monitor and assess existing local partners for partnership effectiveness and measure performance against goals and objectives (funnel, wins, targeted markets, solutions, etc.).
Travel regionally as needed to customer and local partner facilities to ensure Level 3 wins the business
10+ years of experience driving new sales in the telecommunications, IT, and/or media industries.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Strong relationships or previous work experience with system integrators, OEM technology providers, application developers, VARs, and global accounts
Competency in various data, voice, and content services
Analytical proficiency in market sizing & segmentation, financial forecasting, and general business planning.
Proven success at building new relationships at the Senior Executive level
Knowledge & understanding of telecommunications industry structure & value chain.
