We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals with experience working on Open Source software and familiarity with OpenStack. In this role, you will work with seasoned engineers who are creating new products and services using leading-edge NFV and SDN technology. As a key member of the team you will be working in a fast-paced agile environment and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing.
Ability to effectively manage and deliver multiple projects to operational stability
Champion of the methodology by demonstrating ownership of all aspects of the development lifecycle
Support & ownership of all areas under their responsibility

Able to influence the work of others in order to drive medium & large projects to successful completion through effective project management, customer interaction, and IT coordination
Able to effectively estimate the time it will take for themselves and others to perform tasks and are able to influence the team's work to be completed within those timeframes
Ability to mentor others in the business processes implemented in the team's applications in order to provide resolution to support problems
Effectively categorize support problems and respond with the appropriate level of urgency
Hands on with coding practices on multiple applications preferably mulitple functional areas using various technologies.
Ability to architect solutions for the business problem which maybe beyond their own applications
Ability to scale applications to meet the agreed upon business SLAs.
Collaborate and influence architects and operations team members to make the projects a success from inception to delivery
Adapts to continous change in our quest to get better everyday
Provide input to managers and project teams for effective capacity planning
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, usually 8+ years in technology
Proven experience with Linux
Proven experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM
OpenStack experience desirable
Expert Python language skills; experience with scripting and Ansible a plus
Experience with networking / NFV desirable
Experience with source code control tools (Git)
Familiarity with systems orchestration
Excellent system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to work on your own in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem solving and communication skills required
Linux/Unix Systems (Red Hat/CentOS)
OpenStack or Open Source development a huge plus
Solid NFV or telco product development experience
Expert Python and/or Java and scripting skills required, Ansible a plus
Networking technologies (L2 switching, L3 routing)
Kernel, Utilities, Installation, package management
Development of reliable, fault-tolerant software
Agile practices, experience with source code control (Git)
Bachelor's in CS/ECE or equivalent experience
