CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Strategic Enterprise and Federal Government department will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active CenturyLink work projects. The internship will take place in Denver, CO. The GEAR RFP Team helps sellers in our Enterprise and Strategic Government sales channel respond to customer-issued requests for Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, or Invitations to Bid.
In the SLED (State / Local Government and Education) vertical, most vendor responses to bids are public record, but can only be obtained via a formal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Intern's primary responsibility would be to submit requests for information, as identified by the business, to help CenturyLink gain competitive and strategic insights.
• Pursing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Pre-law or course of study that addresses public sector procurement; individuals with grant writing or public sector contracting experience.
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; entering Junior or Senior year education level at the start of the internship (graduating after August 2020).
• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher.
• Must have transportation to/from work daily.
• Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours.
Available during Summer Internship Program: 6/1/2019 - 8/7/2019.
