Responsible for the preparation and execution of customer network optimisation activity across CenturyLink and peer networks. Provide and assist with Incident, Change and Problem Management adhering to an ITIL based framework.
The salary on offer is £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, plus a 10% of base salary shift allowance.
The shift rotation will involve one week of days (5 days 0830-1830 @45 hrs per week) followed by one week of nights (4 nights, 2100-0645 @ 35 hrs per week).

Prepare, track and migrate live customer services under a controlled change window with regular requirement for out of hours work.
Liaises with internal/external clients to receive or provide clarity, manage dependencies and ensure provision of clear updates to relevant tracking systems.
Design and Test solutions across DWDM, SDH, SONET and MPLS networks.
Update provisioning system records and tracking databases, ensuring high degree of accuracy, within specified timelines.
Work moderate to complex projects with cross-functional teams and with limited guidance.
Analysing and monitoring network performance. Stakeholder engagement (internal colleagues and external clients) aimed at risk mitigation and complex problem resolution.
Coach team members, provide training at regular intervals on current and upcoming projects.
Contribute to process documentation and work instructions in support of new or ongoing activities.
Planning and preparation of migration activity, MOP creation, completion of migration (requiring management of multiple stakeholders) and accurate representation of the migrated service in multiple inventory systems.
Applicant should have experience in a medium to large scale business in implementation, deployment and support of transport and/or IPVPN network technologies.
The successful candidate is required to demonstrate knowledge and proven experience in at least five of the following areas: DWDM provisioning, SDH/SONET provisioning, NMS, Provisioning, testing and fault resolution, MPLS, Experience of Lucent (DMX, ADM16), Ciena (5430, 6110, 6500, Core Directors), Ericsson (SMA16, SMA1, SMA16+).
