Job Summary

We work with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate margin leakage and drive re-rate initiatives in our business, ensuring we bill revenue, manage costs, and maintain margins as effectively as possible.

As a Manager of Margin Assurance, you will be responsible for managing a team performing detailed customer audits that identify revenue increase opportunities and cost savings opportunities related to audit/recovery projects. You will isolate and research negative or non-optimal margin services, analyze the business drivers, determine root cause and support the business with recovery, root cause analysis and prevention activities.

  • Assess the probability of revenue and cost leakage and assure leakage occurrence is within tolerance. Investigate, isolate, and resolve leakage issues within defined time limit parameters.

  • Monitor trends, identify and resolve errors, conduct root cause analysis, and manage dashboards. Develop new reporting models and metrics to improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of delivering management reporting.

  • Maintain timely status communications with stakeholders – project sponsors, organizational functional managers, project team members and cross-functional executive leadership.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build a world-class Margin Assurance discipline

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ yrs.’

  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

  • Field of Study: Business, Finance, Economics or IT

  • A combination of education and experience is acceptable: Yes

  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Fluency in at least one programming language required

  • At least 5 years of Audit experience required

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Telecom

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or IT

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Proficient in querying a large amount of data using SQL query skills

  • Ability to query and analyze data in Access, Brio, Hyperion, Business Objects or other reporting tools

  • General understanding of data models and various IT platforms/solutions

  • Experience with process mapping, and business requirements documentation

  • Understanding of Financial Assurance concepts and application in business

Work Environment

Sits five to seven hours per day. Stands and or walks one to three hours per day. May bend, reach, stoop and crouch throughout the day. Should have the ability to hear, speak and see effectively to perform the necessary tasks of this position. Manual dexterity is occasionally required. The position may require frequent movement and activity relating to using keyboards, viewing data on computer displays, and communicating verbally and in writing to the needs of others. The employee-owner may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions.
