The position manages the billing relationship between foreign and domestic Legal Service Providers and Internal Counsel and co-manages the Legal Billing In-Box. This position enters and processes foreign and domestic invoices and legal settlements. This position is responsible for producing reports and metrics of a complex nature utilizing advanced Excel functions and formulas and Cognos Business Intelligence reporting tools. This position works cross functionally with Accounts Payable, Tax, Corporate Compliance, and Information Technologies to ensure compliance with all Finance and Accounting requirements and Tax Laws. This position performs end to end System Administration functions related to the Legal Matter Management and E-Billing System (Passport).
Administers on boarding of Legal Service Providers.
Co Manages Legal In-Box. Responds to requests from domestic and foreign suppliers and internal sources.
Enters and processes foreign and domestic invoices ensuring compliance with billing guidelines and tax regulations.
Assigns financial allocations on all matters.
Serves as the billing coordinator for settlements and third party insured cases.
Ensures timely invoice payment. Provides regular invoice status reports. Tracks invoices in dispute.
Conducts quantitative analysis and develops conclusions based on analysis and research.
Administers Passport Security model and password issuance and permissions. Creates and manages users, including passwords and permissions.
Maintains primary billing contacts and manages timekeeper collaboration records.
Provides End User support and training. Creates and maintains instructional training materials and process documentation.
Performs other system related functions and support.
Prepares various financial reports utilizing Excel.
Five or more years experience working with electronic billing, reporting, data warehousing, analytics, or business intelligence
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Functions and Formulas, conditional formatting) and Cognos BI Reporting tools.
Advanced knowledge of SAP and E-Billing Systems
Advanced knowledge of and experience with application of financial and accounting principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams and external vendors.
Strong analytical and data analysis skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Bachelors or Equivalent in Finance
