Job Summary

This position will be responsible for managing our LNI Engineering Support team for East Region. Position will be responsible for compiling, tracking, and managing reports for Corporate LNI builds for Executive readouts. Position will also be required to maintain all reports and new processes for the West LNI team.

Position can be located in Apopka, FL; Wake Forest, NC; Kansas City, MO; Jacksonville, AR; Monroe, LA or Dothan, AL.

Our Engineering Support team is responsible for assisting the LNI team in high level management and coordination of priority programs. This includes project trouble shooting, reporting network deliverables for specified Region, resource optimization, capital/expense budget performance metrics, and program project management from planning through implementation. This includes the prioritization of tactical day-to-day projects that enables the detailed engineering, construction, inspection and service readiness of all network capital investments within the Region by established deadlines and guidelines. As the leader of the team, this position is responsible for driving continuous improvement of results and developing/leading strategic improvement initiatives.

Job Description

  • Lead Field Support / Local Support team to include budget planning and management; project planning, implementation and management; development of staff policies/processes; and driving change management initiatives to ensure successful project implementation.

  • Builds partnerships and mediates with all departments including Provisioning, Sales/Sales Support, Network, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Operations etc.

  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and program targets.

  • Manage customer-driven deployment schedules to drive aggressive internal and external customer due dates.

  • Establish, implement, and maintain administrative and technical procedures to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner within allocated budget and accounting guidelines

  • Exercise considerable latitude in decision-making under limited direction towards predetermined goals and targets

  • Facilitate, delegate and lead cross-functional teaming to drive transformational change across multiple disciplines and functional organizations to improve processes, workflows and streamlining of functions

  • Previous experience and knowledge in all aspects of Engineering, Equipment Installation, & OSP Construction, and contract policies and procedures, as well as, the Construction Certification Program requirements.

  • Knowledge of CenturyLink Proprietary Systems, SAP, Fireworks, BidMaster, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, NBIE, LCAM, ARMOR and APO.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent education and experience. Typically, with 5-7 years related experience.

  • Minimum 5 years previous supervisory / leadership experience.

  • Leadership, coaching, collaboration, conflict management, negotiation, partnership, problem solving and innovation skills.

  • Strong communication skills: listening, oral, written and presentation.

  • Self-starter with desire to innovate.

  • Expert reporting, metrics and analytical skills in Access and Excel.

  • Ability to manage change, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • A valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.


  • Experience in managing annual operating budgets in excess of $100M

  • Minimum 6-8 years industry experience

  • Process/Product/System knowledge (Salesforce, Armor, NDS, WFMT, TIRKS, etc.)

  • Understanding of business process improvement

  • Understanding of systems development lifecycle and experience with leveraging systems to drive automation and process efficiency
